EVENT | Remaking the Commons: Stories of Civic Space, Belonging, and Democracy
Civic spaces are where everyday life and democracy meet. But at a time when our rights to free speech, assembly, and association are being challenged and contested across the country, these spaces are under threat. Join Everyday Democracy and community leaders to explore how civic spaces are being preserved, created, and reimagined—what they offer, what they’re up against, and what people need most right now.
NEWSLETTER | Partnering with Libraries: Cornerstones of Democracy
Read about our exciting new partnership with the Urban Libraries Council, and how we’re training 50 librarians in multipartial facilitation—our groundbreaking facilitation method designed to balance perspectives and address power imbalances, to promote fair civic participation. These trained librarians will lead community conversations in 11 cities on critical local issues.
EVENT | Waging Love for an Inclusive Democracy
In a time of deep division, dehumanization, and persistent injustice, it takes courage and hard work to address conflicts and unite our communities in shared purpose to wield our collective power. Join Everyday Democracy and national leaders in accountability, belonging, and restorative justice for a dynamic conversation on using love as a force for justice, transformation, and real democracy in action.
EVENT | Dinner & Dialogue

This unique event convened local high-school youth for an immersive dinner and dialogue to explore the links between Afro-Indigenous food traditions, history, and contemporary democracy. This project was in partnership with the Westport Museum for History and Culture in Westport, CT.
EVENT | Arts & Democracy Lab
This interactive experience at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts drew on “Witnessing Humanity: The Art of John Wilson” and merged art, dialogue, and civic action to spark empathy, deepen understanding, and amplify young voices in local decision-making. In partnership with Tufts University’s Tisch College of Civic Life, this one-of-a-kind event was for Boston-area college students.
