Everyday Democracy’s NEW Multipartial Facilitation Training teaches experienced facilitators the practical application of multipartial facilitation techniques, with a focus on equitable and inclusive practices. Held once a week over three weeks, participants will enhance their capacity to lead inclusive and impactful group dialogues through a blend of pre-training assessments, collaborative discussions, reflective exercises, and hands-on facilitation practice.

What to Expect:

Participants will engage in role-play analyses, small group activities, and mock facilitation sessions to practice and refine their skills. On the final day, participants will pair up to co-facilitate mock sessions, receiving real-time feedback on their application of multipartial techniques in diverse group settings, ensuring they are well-prepared to lead inclusive and impactful conversations in their communities and organizations. 

Who is This For?

This training is designed for experienced facilitators who know and have practiced the fundamentals of facilitation, and want to build their knowledge and skills. 

To ensure quality instruction and group interaction, limited seats are available. 

Content and Activities will include:

  • Introduction to Multipartial Facilitation: Explore the core principles and importance of multipartiality in group settings.  
  • Equity in Facilitation: Understand and apply equity-focused practices to create inclusive group dynamics.  
  • Role Play Analysis: Engage in role-playing exercises to analyze and improve multipartial facilitation techniques.  
  • Reflective Practice: Participate in structured reflection activities to identify personal facilitation strengths and areas for growth.  
  • Mock Facilitation: Apply learned skills in a mock facilitation setting, receiving feedback to refine your approach.  
  • Partnered Practice: Work in pairs to co-facilitate sessions, focusing on equitable dialogue and multipartial techniques.  

Participants Will Receive:

  • 3 live, small group training sessions with intensive instruction  
  • 1:6 instructor/participant ratio
  • 12 hours of interactive training with ongoing feedback, including mock facilitation practice
  • Pocket Guide that aligns with the course lessons and gives you tools, tips, and resources to support your multipartial facilitation practice  

Accessibility:

Participants will need to:

  • Be on a computer(not a mobile phone or tablet) 
  • Be on camera most of the time 
  • Engage in small group, interactive programming requiring using both mic and chat 
  • Facilitate a practice activity with a co-facilitator

The Everyday Democracy team will ensure:

  • Access to closed captioning and transcripts 
  • Use of plain language 
  • Regular breaks 
  • Materials provided in different formats accessible with screen readers
  • Activities account for different learning styles to engage with content  

Tuition:

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

If you must cancel, please do so as far in advance as possible. Cancellations are subject to a $25 administration fee plus an additional $25 to process credit card refunds. Refunds will be issued to the original payment card. To receive a refund, your cancellation must be made at least 2 weeks before the event/workshop date. Everyday Democracy is under no obligation to offer any refund or credit if you cancel within two weeks of an event/workshop. In some instances, Everyday Democracy may cancel an event/workshop due to low enrollment, faculty illness, or other reason. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel an event/workshop, we will give you 7-10 days notice. If the event/workshop is canceled, Everyday Democracy will issue you a full refund of the registration fee, with no administration fees withheld.
