Capacity Building & Training

Ready to bring dialogue and authentic engagement to your community or organization?

We partner with nonprofits, universities, government institutions, and community organizations to strengthen best practices, skills, and capacity in dialogue, deliberation, community engagement, and leadership with an equity lens.

Whether you’re an individual looking to grow your skill set or part of an organization seeking greater impact, our offerings are twofold: customized capacity-building programs that help you deepen your expertise and lead more effectively with an equity lens, and stand-alone trainings on a range of topics designed to build knowledge, refine skills, and share best practices.

Skills and themes include:

  • Multipartial facilitation and dialogue: centering multiple identities and experiences in dialogues to address power imbalances, foster equitable participation, and deepen mutual understanding.
  • Collaborative and equitable leadership: developing leadership approaches that prioritize shared power and fairness.
  • Community-led problem solving: elevating local voices to lead the process to identify challenges and design actionable solutions.
  • Participatory civic action: increasing civic participation and health through meaningful public engagement in civic processes.
  • Community storytelling: weaving new social ties through interactive community dialogue and cultural events.
  • Reclaiming history: connecting, investigating, and reckoning with our shared history and co-creating a more complete, inclusive story of our democracy.
