Why I work at Everyday Democracy:

I love working for an organization that empowers and teaches people how to fight for equality.  I strongly believe in Everyday Democracy’s mission and the team here is extremely passionate about their jobs and the difference they make.

What I love about what I do:

I currently serve as the Financial & Operations Administrator.  I love working with numbers and enjoy efficiency, and my role entails both.  It is truly a joy using my strong background in non-profit accounting in helping Everyday Democracy in their mission of creating a better democracy and stronger communities that work for all.

How I got here:

I have over 12 years of experience working with non-profits.  Every organization I’ve worked for, their mission always was in line with making the community a better place for all without prejudice.  After doing my research on Everyday Democracy, I knew the organization was a place I definitely would like to work for due to the work they do nationwide.  I’m truly grateful I was afforded the opportunity to become part of such a wonderful team!!

What I do when I’m not helping communities create change:

FAMILY!!! – There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my wife and my three beautiful daughters.

Dialogue to Change

Our ultimate goal is to create positive community change that includes everyone, and our tools, advice, and resources foster that kind of change. Whether you’re grappling with a divisive community issue, or simply want to include residents’ voices in city government, Everyday Democracy's Dialogue to Change process, using a racial equity lens, can help.
